About medium easter word search puzzles

What they are

Medium Easter word searches let words hop diagonally as well as across and down. A BUTTERFLY might flutter towards the bottom right and SUNRISE might, fittingly, rise towards the top right. Words always read forwards and never overlap. The 15×15 grids are a good middle ground, with enough words to fill a quiet half hour after lunch.

How to play

From each first letter, look in four directions before moving on. Because medium words stay separate, each letter you circle can be crossed off your mental list of possibilities.

Tips

JELLYBEANS has a double L and a distinctive ending that is easy to follow on a slant. BONNET and BLOOM both start with B, so check a few letters ahead before circling the wrong one.

Who they suit

These suit eight- to twelve-year-olds, Easter holiday clubs, and families who want a slightly tougher spring puzzle.

Printing

Print two medium Easter grids per sheet for a classroom spring pack, with answer keys stapled at the back.
