About kids sports word search puzzles

What they are

Kids sports word searches use a 10×10 grid with big letters and ten short sports such as GOLF, JUDO, SKIING, RUGBY and TENNIS. Words run across or down only, so active children can finish quickly and get back outside. The ten words are chosen from the short end of the list, so children meet familiar games rather than long Olympic events. It makes a neat warm-up before a school sports day.

How to play

Read each sport together, find its first letter, and look right or down. Once you find a sport, act it out: swing a pretend racket or take a ski jump.

Tips

Start with a sport your child plays. Acting out each word after finding it keeps energetic children happily engaged until the end.

Who they suit

These suit children aged four to seven, preschool sports days, and sporty families.

Printing

Kids sports puzzles print large on one page, ready for a clipboard at the side of the pitch. Answers print separately.
