Medium Small Printable Mazes

30 free medium 10 × 10 mazes for school-age children, families and regular maze fans. A longer route with more branches to choose from.

Medium mazes use a growing-tree algorithm that mixes winding corridors with branching, so there are about twice as many dead ends as in an easy maze. The route is measured and must be clearly longer than an easy one.

About medium small mazes

What they are

Medium small mazes keep the friendly 10 × 10 grid but add more branches, so there are roughly twice as many dead ends as in the easy set. The route is longer too, which means a few choices really matter instead of just following the corridor.

Tips

Teach the 'look before you go' habit: at every fork, glance down each branch to see if it quickly hits a wall. If a child gets stuck, ask them to point to the last place they had a choice and try the other way from there.

Who they suit

These suit children of about five to seven who find the easy mazes too quick, early-finisher trays in kindergarten and first grade, and quiet activity packs for restaurants or travel.

Printing

Two per page works well at this size and saves paper for a classroom set. Keep the solution page handy for children who like to check their own route.
