About easy christmas word search puzzles

What they are

Easy Christmas word searches line up SANTA, SLEIGH, WREATH and TINSEL in straight rows and columns, always reading forwards and never crossing. Grids run from a 10×10 stocking filler to a 20×20 sheet holding up to 25 festive words.

How to play

Choose a word from the list, find its first letter, and slide your finger to the right or down to see whether the rest follows. Ring it in red or green and tick it off before moving on to the next.

Tips

GINGERBREAD and MISTLETOE are long enough to jump out of the grid. Look for the double L in BELLS and HOLLY next, then save short words such as ELF and JOY for last, when there are fewer letters left to check.

Who they suit

Easy Christmas puzzles suit children from six, December classrooms, and relatives of every age gathered round the table after lunch.

Printing

Print a few small grids for the children's end of the Christmas table, next to the crackers. Every festive puzzle has its own answer key on a separate sheet.
