About christmas word search puzzles

What they are

Christmas word searches are wrapped in festive vocabulary: SANTA, REINDEER, STOCKING, MISTLETOE, GINGERBREAD and CANDY CANE. The 46-word list mixes the cosy side of the holiday with its traditions, carols and decorations.

How to play

Search the grid for every word on the list and loop each one with a pencil or a red pen. Two-word phrases such as CANDY CANE are hidden without the space, so look for CANDYCANE as one run of letters.

Tips

Hunt for RUDOLPH, FIREPLACE and ORNAMENT first; their length makes them easy to spot. Words like ELF, JOY and STAR hide easily, so scan row by row for them at the end.

Who they suit

These puzzles are a December favourite in classrooms, Sunday schools, family gatherings and Christmas party packs. Little ones can manage the Kids level, while grandparents often grab a Hard copy.

Printing

Print a stack to slip into Christmas cards or leave on the table with the crackers. Answer keys print separately.
