What they are
Hard jobs word searches hide occupations in all eight directions, backwards included, and let them cross. CARPENTER might read right to left and ENGINEER might climb upwards, sharing a letter with a JUDGE running across. The large grids hold up to 25 jobs, with crossings allowed, so a single row can contain parts of several careers. It is a satisfying way to revise occupation vocabulary for older English learners.
How to play
Check all eight neighbours around a likely first letter. Two jobs that cross share a square, just as two workers might share a workshop.
Tips
ENGINEER has a double E twice, making it easy to catch in any direction. Look for the final letter of long jobs so reversed entries are not missed.
