Kids word searches use a small 10×10 grid with only short words (3–6 letters) hidden across and down, printed with extra-large letters.

About jobs word search puzzles
What they are
Jobs word searches explore the world of work with DOCTOR, FIREFIGHTER, ELECTRICIAN, LIBRARIAN, PHOTOGRAPHER and ASTRONAUT. The 48-word list covers helpers in the community, skilled trades, creative careers and science.
How to play
Find each job on the list in the grid and circle it. Two-word jobs such as POLICE OFFICER and MAIL CARRIER are hidden without a space.
Tips
Many jobs end in -ER or -IST, so scan for those endings. FIREFIGHTER and PHOTOGRAPHER are long and easy to see; short jobs like VET and CHEF are the real challenge.
Who they suit
Jobs puzzles suit community-helpers topics in kindergarten and first grade, careers days in middle school and ESL lessons on occupations. Parents use them to start conversations about what children want to be when they grow up, and the Hard level gives older students plenty to do.
Printing
Print one for each student and ask them to star the job they would most like to do. Answer keys are separate.
