About kids jobs word search puzzles
What they are
Kids jobs word searches use a 10×10 grid with big letters and ten short jobs such as VET, CHEF, NURSE, PILOT and BAKER. Jobs run only across or down, keeping the puzzle friendly for early readers. The jobs chosen at this level are the ones young children meet most often, from the person who bakes bread to the person who flies the plane. It sits well alongside a role-play corner or a visit from a local firefighter.
How to play
Read each job together, find its first letter, and look right or down. Once you find it, talk about what that person does each day.
Tips
Start with a job someone in the family does. Short jobs like VET are easy to miss, so check each row slowly with a finger.
Who they suit
These suit children aged four to seven, community-helpers week in preschool, and dress-up play.
