What they are
Nature word searches wander through FOREST, WATERFALL, CANYON, GLACIER, VOLCANO and MEADOW. The 51-word list covers landscapes, plants and weather, from a tiny SEED and soft MOSS to THUNDER and LIGHTNING.
How to play
Search for each nature word, ring it and cross it off the list. For a calm twist, take the puzzle outside and solve it under a tree.
Tips
WATERFALL and LIGHTNING are long and easy to spot. Watch for look-alike pairs such as SUNRISE and SUNSET, or STONE and STREAM: they start the same way, so check the whole word before you circle it.
Who they suit
Nature puzzles suit outdoor-education days, scout and guide groups, science lessons on habitats and landforms, and families heading off on a camping trip. The Kids level is lovely for forest-school sessions, while the Hard level suits adult hikers and naturalists.
