About rabbit and carrot mazes

What they are

Rabbit and Carrot mazes send a bouncy rabbit through a garden of hedges to reach a crunchy carrot. The twelve-maze set mixes easy, medium and hard routes, and it makes a cheerful springtime or garden-themed activity.

How to play

Begin at the rabbit and trace a line through the gaps in the hedges until you reach the carrot. If a path stops at a wall, hop back to the last fork and try again.

Tips

Ask children to hop the rabbit one corridor at a time and say 'hop' at each turn; it slows hasty solvers down. On the harder mazes, try finding the carrot first and walking back to the rabbit.

Who they suit

These mazes are lovely for children aged three to seven, spring topics in early-years classrooms and anyone who has just read a rabbit story at bedtime.

Printing

Print a few on coloured paper for a spring display, or one per page in the Kids version for little hands. Solutions print separately.
