Puzzle guide

About santa and chimney mazes

What they are

Santa and Chimney mazes help Father Christmas find the right rooftop on Christmas Eve. Twelve festive puzzles start small and easy and finish with a large, hard maze, so the whole family can join in, from toddlers to grandparents.

How to play

Draw Santa's route from Start to the chimney at Finish through the open corridors. There is only one way through, so Santa never has to choose between two right answers.

Tips

Make it a countdown: solve one maze a day for the twelve days before Christmas, saving the largest for Christmas Eve. For older children, set a time limit and pretend Santa has to finish before sunrise.

Who they suit

These are perfect for December classrooms, Christmas activity packs, church and community events, and keeping excited children busy while the Christmas dinner cooks.

Printing

Print the set as a festive booklet or tuck single mazes into Christmas cards. The Kids version prints one big maze per page; solutions are separate.
