What they are
Riddle-themed crosswords are puzzles about puzzles. Answers include words like ENIGMA, CIPHER, CLUE, DETECTIVE and ANAGRAM, and many clues are written as tiny riddles themselves. It is the theme closest to the heart of a riddle club, with three minis and three 9×9 grids.
How to play
Solve online or on paper, filling each numbered answer across or down. Because the vocabulary all belongs to the world of puzzles, one solved answer such as CLUE often suggests its neighbours: HINT, ANSWER or SOLVE are rarely far away.
